Amino Acid Structure
All proteins are made up of
amino acids chains called a polypeptide. Amino acids contain a central carbon
atom and a amine group and a carboxyl group and a hydrogen atom. The difference
in R group is what makes one amino acid
different from another. There are 20 common amino acids present in the body.
